Jeff Pease

jeff@islesfordcircuits.com

Jeff was the technical lead and co-inventor of a multi-line, raster scanned laser display. He is an inventor on six patents involving fiber optics, optoelectronics, optomechanics and electronics. He designed the optical systems, electronics and mechanical components for the project. He has since worked on medical imaging devices, automated grain moisture measurement system and autonomous industrial drones.

His skills include:
	> Circuit Design (analog, digital and mixed signal)
	> PCB Design PCB Assembly
	> Solder and Rework
	> Laser Optical System Design
	> Opto-mechanical Design
	> Laser scanning systems
	> Laser repair
	> Building custom high throughput raid arrays
	> Embedded Design
	> Robotics

Before transitioning to photonics / electronics he was a generator mechanic. He specialized in Diesel engines and automatic transfer switches. During his time as a mechanic he also did side work in professional photo processing, power tool repair, small engine repair, scientific laser repair, amateur holography and helped design a holographic printer.

sophia@islesfordcircuits.com

Sophia is a programmer with a background in physics & mathematics. She fell in love with programming when she was 8 and hasn't stopped programming since.
When she's not programming devices for work, she's developing games in her free time.

Languages (descending order of experience):
	> C#, C++ (both .NET and Embedded), Python. C, Java, SWIFT, Javascript, and Google's GO.

Here is some of her experience in her top four languages:
C# / .NET:
	> Years of game development (Unity) programming experience, including a first person puzzler shooter inspired by Perfect Dark and Myst she is currently developing.
	> Wrote a ballistics plugin for Unity using real-world physics that supports bullet penetration, ricochet, drag, and more.
	> Wrote an aerodynamics simulation plugin for unity from scratch using my own algorithm and based on real-world physics, to allow for realistic simulation of aircraft, air drag, and even falling paper being blown away in the wind.
	> Wrote a visualizer to display the results of a galactic collision simulation in 3d with
time controls and a free flying camera.
	> Wrote task automation tools and analysis software for a company specializing in grain meters.

C++ & C:
	> Wrote physics simulation software to test different designs of domestic drones.
	> Wrote on-the-fly curve fitting software on embedded devices for the aforementioned company specializing in grain meters, including a custom mathematical library specializing in matrix operations.
	> Wrote HLSL compute shaders to perform various astrophysics simulations on the GPU.

Python:
	> Wrote bluetooth communication software for proprietary medical devices.
	> Wrote software to communicate quickly between Python and C# to make use of some of Python's excellent device communication libraries in C#.
	> Made a Python script to extract and sort relevant information from a massive document.
	> Wrote custom Python plugins for Blender and Notepad++.
